Discover the secrets of creating a fabric landscape accidentally using this topstitch/layering technique. These quilted scenes are surprisingly simple to create! You'll learn how to capture the feeling of a scene in simple layers. Create a landscape based on a favorite photo or color palette. Adopt the same easy layering technique to create gorgeous curved borders. For ease and fun, Karen's topstitched layers beat out machine applique and curved piecing by a mile. Class fee: $45, includes kit!

Have you wanted to learn hand quilting but just didn't get around to trying it. Now is your chance.
Come to this 3 hour class where you will be introduced to the most fundamental part of the quilting process. Quilting by hand is relaxing, portable, inexpensive and can be very satisfying. You will be introduced to all the tools needed (there are very few); have your questions answered about batting, basting and finishing, and then practice quilting by hand. A kit containing everything you need to get started will be provided. Come, sit, listen and quilt. Kit contains: Hoop, needle, thimble, practice piece for class exercise and additional pieces for at home practice. Class Fee, includes kit: $45

This class not only SAVES you money, but it also empowers you!
This class is ideal if you own a: Singer Touch & Sew, Kenmore Ultrastitch, Mechanical Bernina, Front Loading Janome, or a 15 year or older Viking! Please call if you have a question about your particular machine.

EmbroidaBlock of the Month 2010

The unique look of EmbroidaBlock embroidablackcombines piecing with embroidery to produce a look of elegance and add interest to your quilts.  The Block of the Month program is designed to give both the novice and master quilter a method of quilting that uses little or no math, requires minimal cutting, is innovative, fun and results in every block sewn to perfection.



The EmbroidaBlock program consists of:

  • 36 Blocks
  • Quilt As You Go
  • Pieced, Decorative Stitched, Embroidered and Quilted all in the hoop
  • Full Color Slide Shows for each month
  • Block sizes 8x8 - finished size 50" x 50"
  • Block sizes 5x5 - finished size 30" x 30"

Come join us to have some fun and learn this new quilt technique using your embroidery machine. 
You must own an embroidery machine to take this class.

This session has started however you are welcome to join and Dianna will help get you caught up!

We are your New England source for the Handiquilter home machine long arm quilting system.
For fiber artists, we offer embellishing fibers such as Angelina, crystals and sewing notions from Clover and June Taylor.
We stock a wide assortment of sewing furniture from Horn of America.
