Learn to Quilt with Holice Turnbow, Quilter, Artist and Textile ConsultantHolice Turnbow

Wednesday, May 15, 22 and June 5, 12 & 26
6:00 - 8:00PM
Fee: 10 items of non-perishable food for the food bank, each class

We want 8 of your wannabee quilters – those who are really beginners or those who have some knowledge of quilt making but want to improve your skill.Wednesday evenings during the Month of May has been reserved for two hours to enable you to learn the most basic skill of quilt making.   The four sessions will deal with the most basic shapes in most all quilt blocks.

They are:

  • Squares and rectangles
  • Triangles
  • Diamonds
  • Curves
  • Finishing Up

These shapes will then be combined to make a block which we have named “The Super Quilt Block”. The block can be used as a small wall hanging; a pillow or others for a full size quilt.Along the way, tips and tricks will be shared which make for really good quilt making.Priority in registration will be given to those who are truly new to quilting or those who think they barely know the steps in quilt making.

Register early for only 8 students will be accepted .Now for the fee;
Nothing in life is free but this series of classes is almost free.   There may be a small fee for any special tools or supplies needed.However, the really big deal about a class fee is your donation of food for the local food bank.   There is great need to fill the pantry.  Let’s say at least 10 items of non perishable food per class.
