Quilt Gallery

Come and visit a new quilt exhibit each month, as we showcase a variety of quilting artists. The quilts of the featured artist will grace the walls of the sanctuary of this historic New England Church.

The month of November will highlight quilts from Kathy Sperino.

Kate SperinoKate Sperino lives in the small town of Mendon, MA with her husband, two active sons, dog, two parakeets and several koi and goldfish.  Her background is in Speech Pathology and Special Needs Education.  She stopped working in the profession and outside of the home when she was pregnant with her now 16year-old.

She is predominately a self taught quilter, having no formal training at classes or conferences.   She lives by the rule that hard work and practice pays off and if you like it, try it!

Most of the quilts on display are quilted on either her Bernina #180 or #430.  She now quilts for others using her Gammill longarm.

In April of 2007 she was excited, honored and humbled to be awarded “Rookie of The Year” at Machine Quilter’s Expo. Currently, she has three quilts being shown at A Quilter’s Gathering in New Hampshire.   One being the quilt that was honored for Rookie of the Year.

If you have questions regarding Kate's quilts you may contact her via her quilting blog where you will find updates on what is going on in her quilting life.
