Charlton Sewing Center is proud to display the Cornerstone Quilters raffle quilt. Tickets for the raffle are available from any guild member or from the Charlton Sewing Center. This quilt was designed by Holice Turnbow, pieced by Avis Meskus and quilted by Judy Bachand.

The Charlton Sewing Center offers classes for kids at many times during the week. We also offer mother/daughter classes and classes for home schoolers. We have two teachers offering this service and we try to schedule according to your needs. Call to speak to a teacher and schedule your class today!

June Quilt Show

"Twelve Moon Quilts"

Charlton Sewing Center welcomes talented quilt makers Virginia Phillips, Raelaine Swanner, and Karen Swanner (Raelaine’s daughter). These friends hail from different towns in Delaware and Connecticut. Each year, they enjoy time together for “Camp Wanaquilt” – a time of fun and quilting. Last year, while in the Sturbridge area, they showed us their current project, the “Twelve Moon Quilt”. This project was based on a collection of Haiku Poetry and the paintings connected with them. They were invited to display their quilts when finished, which they completed in record time. The twelve blocks were assembled into three very different quilts. Thus, a quilt show was born!

We are so excited to present the “Twelve Moon Quilts” and an extensive collection of quilts by these accomplished quilters. Many of the quilts are hand-appliquéd and hand-quilted. The work is extraordinary! Come in to be inspired and to enjoy this exhibit during the month of June.
